Our Story
didn't come from a franchise or a private equity buyout. It started with Kevin Chavez, one crew, and a rule that hasn't changed: the owner is on every job.
Kevin didn't start with tools — he started with technique. Working at a larger insulation contractor across New Jersey, he learned every step of the craft: spray foam application, attic prep, moisture control, and code-compliant firestop work.
He watched what made good jobs great — and what made bad jobs cost customers thousands.
After nearly a year of saving every paycheck, Kevin bought his first materials, his first spray rig, and launched Sky Blue. No investors. No shortcuts. Just enough gear to run one crew and enough conviction to get on every job himself.
